GHMC Annual 7A-side Football Championship: Sastry Soccer Club blank Red Hills
Rakesh and Raghu Camey were involved in the goal blitz for Sastry Soccer Club to wreck the hosts GHMC Red Hills Playground 8-0 in the GHMC Annual 7A-side Football Championship played at GHMC Red Hills Playground. It was a good day at work for the visitors as they took over the match from the very first minute. The hosts surrendered their grit as it didn’t last for much time after the first whistle blew because of the pressure applied by their rivals. The Red Hills side couldn’t breach the defensive unit of the winners as a result they couldn’t net the ball at least once.
It was a tremendous team effort by the Sastry players as they succeeded in netting the ball eight times. In another match, Young Sporting Football Club defeated CCOB ‘B’ 1-0. Young Sporting side were in search of an opportunity and they didn’t miss a single chance to net the ball. Finally, they came up with an amazing goal to stay ahead of their rivals. In another encounter between Deccan Sporting Club and Old Alwal Football Playground, the former were imperious throughout as they routed their rivals with the 12-1 verdict. The Old Alwal players had miserably failed to make it tough to net the ball for their rivals. While Deccan Sporting restricted their opponents to just one goal.
In another match on another day, Sastry Football Club ‘A’ defeated Hyderabad Football Club 1-0. It was a neck and neck contest as both teams displayed matching talent. The Hyderabad Football Club gave their wonderful best but Sastry ‘A’ team turned on the heat to win the match. In another match on Day 3, Feelkhana ‘B’ won a thriller over Balshettiketh Playground as the former clinched in the tie breaker penalty shootouts as the scores read 2-2 (3-1).
