Be like Shahid Afridi: Fans tell Lionel Messi
Mumbai: Lionel Messi’s sudden retirement decision from international football shook the football world. While some are praying for his comeback, others trolled Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi who has a habit of announcing retirements.
The all-rounder, fondly called ‘Boom Boom’ had retired from international cricket and staged a comeback more than twice. The trolls ranged from ‘Be Like Bill’ memes to ‘Be Like Afridi’.
Dear Messi,

This is Afridi.
Afridi announces his retirement.
Afridi announces his comeback.
Repeat.
Afridi is awesome.
Be like Afridi.
Afridi – still in the Twenty20 fray – is yet to bid goodbye to cricket; he retired from ODIs and Tests.
Messi has retired at the age of 29, That's the age when Afridi was 17 years old.

In the past one year, Afridi’s records have been poor. He took 16 wickets in 21 T20Is at an average of 34. Even with the bat, he managed 263 runs at an average of 14.61.

Messi announced retirement after Argentina lost 4-2 on penalties against Chile in the Copa America final on Sunday. The 29-year-old – who also dribbles for Barcelona FC – couldn’t take the embarrassment of not crossing the line for the fourth final in a row.
Argentina lost 1-0 to Germany in the FIFA World Cup final in 2014.
Really hope #Messi idolizes Afridi in respect of retirements
