Manchester City star Gabriel Jesus is on the road to recovery after a successful operation at the hands of Pep Guardiola’s favoured physician, Dr Ramon Cugat.
The teenager flew out to Barcelona for Thursday’s procedure, which passed without any problems. Jesus reassured worried City fans with an upbeat Instagram post on Sunday night.
The striker wrote ‘Agora e so recuperar’, which translates as ‘now just recover’, alongside a picture of him leaving hospital wearing crutches and a protective boot.
And while at the Quiron hospital in Catalonia, he received a visit from Brazilian teammate Neymar. The Barca star posted a picture of the pair together on his Instagram account.
He said: “Good to see you are alright young man. “Come back flying soon. We are together son.” His recovery is expected to take between eight and twelve weeks, some of which will be spent in his native Brazil.
