Pune prevail over Dynamos

With the race to book semi-final slots gathering speed, Mumbai City FC host Kerala Blasters in a key clash on Saturday.

New Delhi: FC Pune City kept Delhi Dynamos waiting for a place in the semi-finals of the Hero Indian Super League, with a stunning 4-3 victory over the league leaders at home on Friday evening.

The hosts were down by a Kean Lewis (44th minute) goal in the first session
but turned the match around in the second with strikes from Anibal Rodriguez (55th, 63rd), Mohammed Sissoko (62nd) and Lenny Rodrigues (90th), while an own goal from Eduardo Ferreira (79th) and Malsawmzuala (90th) kept Delhi Dynamos in the hunt till the very end.

The victory took Pune to fourth in the leagie table with 15 points from 11 matches, just two less than Delhi who could have sealed their place in the play-offs with three points in Pune.

Mumbai take on Blasters
With the race to book semi-final slots gathering speed, Mumbai City FC host Kerala Blasters in a key clash on Saturday. The hosts, second on the table, go into the game determined not to fritter away chances like they did in their away previous drawn game against FC Goa. The Blasters would be equally keen to prevent Mumbai from scoring a second victory at home as well as take away three points.

Blasters, third on the table, enter the contest after a convincing 3-1 victory over defending champions Chennaiyin FC, that included twin strikes by C K Vineeth.
