Franck Ribery focused on recovery
Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery is hard at work to complete his comeback from injury before the end of the year. The 34-year-old was forced off the field with a knee injury during his side’s 2-2 draw at Hertha Berlin at the beginning of the month. Scans revealed the France international had torn the lateral collateral ligament (LCL) in his left knee, an injury that was certain to keep him out until the new year.
However, Ribery is already back in the gym, working hard to aid his recovery, and he posted two videos to his Instagram account to show fans the progress he has made. And the Bayern star has already admitted that he is aiming to return before the Christmas break, and could be back in the squad as early as December 16. Ribery was present for Bayern’s 5-0 thrashing of Freiburg at the weekend, and speaking after the game he told reporters: “I feel no pain. I just have to wait. “I will be fit for the winter break pre-season 100 per cent. I have to be with the team in Qatar. Maybe I can already play again before the winter break.”
