The IT based sports and lifestyle management company Impulse Sports is conducting a football championship for the six IT Parks in the state. As many as 200 teams from IT MNCs will participate in the three-month long tournament, said Nitin Anilkumar, CEO and Managing Director, Impulse sports. "The main aim is to promote football and a healthy lifestyle among corporate employees", Nitin added.
The first phase, which will include companies in the Kochi, Koratty and Alappuzha Infoparks, will be held on January 19, 20, 26 and 27 at the United Sports Centre near Infopark in Kochi. In the second phase the companies in the Technopark, Trivandrum will compete. In the third phase companies in the Kannur and Kozhikode cyber parks will compete. The finals will be held in March.
Hibi Eden MLA will inaugurate the championship on January 26th. Actress Mareena Michael and Dr J Raj Mohan Pillai, Chairman, Beta group will also attend.
