Gabriel Jesus spreads the Brazilian flavour
Manchester City star Gabriel Jesus gave his new team-mates a taste of home as the squad dined at a Brazilian restaurant.
The likes of Sergio Aguero, Keven De Bruyne, John Stones, Fabian Delph and Vincent Kompany were all out on a team bonding night at the Bem Brasil restaurant.
Pep Guardiola’s men don’t play until Monday night when they take on Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium, leaving the players to enjoy a late night out.
Jesus has flourished since joining the squad in January and has gone on to score three Premier League goals in his late two games — including the 92nd-minute winner against Swansea City last Sunday. The 19-year-old was also joined by his best mate in the squad Fernandinho — who is helping him adjust to English life and acting as a translator for him.
It remains to be seen whether the European players tested the water of the restaurant's signature dish — ‘Coracao de Frango’ which literally translates to a Chicken heart.
The menu describes it as “an acquired taste, very tender and juicy to bite,” something that could be just what Jesus needs as he looks to settle in a new country. Only recently did Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan enjoy a meal at the charcoal barbeque joint.
