Hyderabad footballers Abhinav Kiran, Mohammed Hasimuddin, Sunil Sirvee and Rathin Nair are thrilled to bits. They’re kicking footballs in Spain, the country where top footballing action takes place. The Messis, Ronaldos, Neymars, and Suarezs all play in the Spanish league as we know.
The boys from Hyderabad are part of the First Goal Under 16 International football intensive and professional program organised by Sports Village Hyderabad in coordination with Sports Village Europa at FC Matadepera in Terressa, Spain.
Getting intensive coaching under the FC Matadepera Spain and senior coach Enrique, the quartet are into the second of their five-week stint. They are being closely monitored by Sports Village CEO Mohammad Shamsuddin and Joaquin Beana.
“It’s a nice feeling to be playing here. The weather is such that you don’t feel tired after playing for long stretches,” says Sunil.
“It’s been a lovely learning experience and so much fun. The coaches are accommodative and have been spending a lot of time improving our skills,” said Hasimuddin.
Abhinav too was elated. “We are having a great time here learning the finer points of the game,” he said.
