Adding filmi touch to football
Sunny Leone and Rana Daggubati have associated themselves with the second season of Premier Futsal that kickstars in Mumbai on September 15. While Sunny has been named as the co-owner and brand ambassador of Kerala Cobras, closer home, we have Rana Daggubati who has been chosen
to be the brand ambassador of Telugu Tigers.
The news comes hardly a month after Sunny’s maiden appearance in Kochi for a promotional event that brought the city to a standstill.
Talking about her association, Sunny says, “The sport of football is undoubtedly the most popular sport of Kerala and it gives me immense pleasure to be part of Premier Futsal, a popular form of the game which is catching up rapidly among the masses. This short, highly energetic and entertaining package is the USP of Premier Futsal.”
It is also a wonderful opportunity for many youngsters in India to rub shoulders with some of the biggest legends in the sport. I am also excited to have Luis Figo and Falcao in Premier Futsal and I am happy to work with Salgado for the Kerala Cobras.”
Premier Futsal, the T20 version of football, will be played in Mumbai and Bengaluru, while Dubai is likely to host the semifinals and final.
Rana Daggubati, who has been associated with many leagues including kabaddi and boxing, says, “I was always fascinated with sports since childhood and would love to be part of any sport whenever there’s an opportunity. When I heard about the possibility of being the face of Telugu Tigers in Premier Futsal, I took it as a pride. What more, with someone like Deco as a marquee player in the team; we are sure to entertain the crowd with some exciting action. Also, I believe my fans and sports lovers will turn out in large numbers and support us. Moreover, it will keep me on my toes and give me an opportunity to spread the sportsmanship spirit.”
