Prepared to tackle Korea: Brazil coach

Amadeu declined to write off the Koreans and said that they were a side capable of upsetting any team.

Kochi: Brazil coach Carlos Amadeu is confident that they can break open the DPR Korea defence, if the Asian side opt for a defensive approach against the Samba side on Tuesday.

“We will not be caught by surprise by the tactics of DPR Korea. If they attack, then we will have to defend. But when we have possession, they will play a defensive game. We are prepared for any type of play and our forwards are capable of facing any situation,” said the coach.

Amadeu declined to write off the Koreans and said that they were a side capable of upsetting any team.

“We are playing in a World Cup. Here every team is tough. They have a fast style and they shoot a lot from outside the box. We have prepared for their game. We expect there will be more set pieces in the match, and we have given emphasis on free-kicks during training,” he said. The coach believes that the match will be a competitive one like their opener. “The boys played brilliantly in the opening match. So, we will maintain the same lineup.”
