Hyderabad: A superb brace from Shifath Ullah Khan helped Hyderabad Globe Football Academy Under 15 team win the annual Little Stars Cup football tournament organised by Hyderabad Globe Football Club.
Globe beat Golconda Football Club with a 2-0 scoreline.
Shifath slammed the first goal in the 16th minute cashing in on a pass from by Owaisuddin. Thirty three minutes into the second half, Shifath scored again, heading in a neat cross from Obaiduddin.
Riyaz Khan was adjudged Player of the Tournament while Syed Owaisuddin was the tournament’s top scorer with six goals.
In the Under 12 final, All Saints School defeated FFA Academy 4-3 in the tie-breaker after the regulation time remained goalless. Mohd Mustafa was adjudged Player of the Tournament in this category.
On the occasion, three women footballers — Anusha, Sumaya and Pavani — who recently represented Telangana State in the junior national championships held at Kolhapur in Maharashtra were felicitated by Syed Hyder Ali, chairman Jasarat Group of Institutions and vice president of Hyderabad Globe Football Club, who also gave away the prizes.
