ISL 2017: Corominas hat-trick helps Goa edge Bengaluru

Coro (16th minute, 33rd, 63rd) was the hero for the match while Manuel Lanzarote also scored for Goa from a 40th-minute penalty.

New Delhi: Spanish striker Ferran ‘Coro’ Corominas struck a hat-trick as hosts Goa FC pipped Bengaluru FC 4-3 in their Indian Super League 4 match at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Margao on Thursday.

Coro (16th minute, 33rd, 63rd) was the hero for the match while Manuel Lanzarote also scored for Goa from a 40th-minute penalty.

A double by Miku (20th, 60th) and an Erik Paartalu header (57th) seemed to have brought Bengaluru FC, who were down to 10-men after goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu’s red card in the 36th minute, back into the game but Goa had the final say on the game.

Jamshedpur, ATK in search of first win
Hosts Jamshedpur FC and ATK will be looking for their first win when they face each other on Friday.

A point separates the two teams with Jamshedpur drawing both their opening two games away and ATK beginning with a draw and crashing to a heavy defeat in the next game at home.

But debutants JFC are yet to score in the tournament. ATK have once in their two games, letting in four goals in a 1-4 loss to FC Pune City.

Both teams are coached by Englishmen, Steve Coppell mentoring JFC and Teddy Sheringham guiding Atletico de Kolkata. Coppell hinted at adopting a different approach in the match from their first two away games.
