Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Cricket Association’s ‘C’ Division One-Day League Championship produced a strong mix of individual brilliance, dominant bowling spells and rapid run chases on Saturday.
New Stars’ Siddhardha C was the standout batter of the round, striking a superb 120 from 132 balls with 21 fours, although his effort was ultimately overshadowed by Scared Heart’s successful chase of 185/5 in 28.2 overs.
Bowling was equally prominent, with three five-wicket hauls. K. Pradeep Kumar returned an excellent 5/36 for Shalimar CC, Prateik Rajaneni claimed 5/38 for Azad and K. Karthikeya took 5/60 for Lords. Among the three, Pradeep’s spell was the most economical, conceding only 36 runs in his 10 overs.
Several teams registered commanding victories. Lords posted 224 before restricting Adams XI to 176/8, while Azad defended 201/8 successfully against Manikumar.
MP Sporting also secured a sizeable 68-run victory after bowling Hyderabad Cricket Academy out for a paltry 122.
The most emphatic chase came from Mahesh, who reached 131/3 in only 12 overs after Anu CC had been dismissed for 130.
