Sai Charan Comes up With Allround Show; Shiva, Jashwin Also Do Well

Hyderabad: Mahaveer beat Lok Nayak by 139 runs after posting 238/5 in a Hyderabad Cricket Association ‘C’ Division match on Saturday, with Jashwin Nagateja’s 112 from 138 balls, including nine fours, the only century of the round.
Jadav Lokesh provided strong support with 65 as Mahaveer built a substantial total before dismissing Lok Nayak for 99.
The bowling honours were dominated by MP Sporting and Azad’s opponents. B. Shiva Manoj returned an outstanding 7/21 in seven overs, including two maidens, despite MP Sporting eventually losing to Saint Sai in a low-scoring chase.
Sai Charan Arroju was equally influential for Azad’s opposition, taking 6/20 in nine overs with three maidens, although Mahesh’s 359/8 proved far beyond Azad’s reach.
Mahesh posted the highest team total of the round, reaching 359/8 in 50 overs, with five batters passing 40, led by T Srinivas Rao’s 59 and Vinay Kumar’s 54. Lords also enjoyed a commanding victory after making 311 in 42.5 overs and restricting Shalimar CC to 133. Hyderabad Cricket Academy completed a comfortable chase against Anu CC, while Manikumar successfully chased New Stars’ 135.
