RCB Post 175/8 in 20 Overs After Late Collapse Against Delhi Capitals

Royal Challengers Bengaluru were pegged back in the death overs despite a steady start, as Lungi Ngidi’s key breakthroughs and disciplined bowling from Delhi Capitals ensured they were restricted to 175 in the first innings.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru were restricted to 175/8 in their 20 overs by Delhi Capitals after opting to bat first in the ongoing encounter. Despite a competitive total at one stage, RCB lost momentum in the death overs, slipping from a strong position due to a late collapse.

Jitesh Sharma’s effort of 14 off 18 balls and brief resistance from Krunal Pandya and the lower order could not fully capitalise on the platform set earlier. Lungi Ngidi made the crucial impact for Delhi Capitals with 2 wickets for 39 runs, including the key dismissal of Jitesh Sharma, while T Natarajan maintained control with economical spells.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rasikh Salam Dar added a few late runs, but RCB could only manage a modest finish after losing 4 wickets in the final five overs, handing DC a manageable chase of 176.
