Top three player battles to watch out for

Deepak Chahar vs Priyansh Arya

Star pacer Deepak Chahar did not get as many chance this season, but in the last game against RCB, He showed the threat and power he possesses with his bowl in powerplay. Deepak had the batters in trouble with the new ball as the pitch conditions favored his style of bowling. While Priyansh Arya will be looking to get going with the bat and put bowlers under pressure. The left-handed batsman has best strike rate for any batter in IPL 2026. The duel between the two players will be exiting for the fans to watch.

Jasprit Bumrah and Shreyas Iyer

Despite Jasprit Bumrah being one of the most feared bowlers in the word cricket, Shreyas Iyer has looked remarkably confident against him this season. The PBKS skipper has attacked Bumrah aggressively, especially against the short balls. Shreyas has managed to dominate a matchup that usually favors the bowlers. Iyer has maintained a strike rate of 164.02 while scoring 392 runs in 11 matches this season while, Bumrah has taken just 3 wickets. MI’s pacer has bowled 246 balls while conceding 349 runs with an economy of 8.51. This season has not really been great for a world-class bowler like Bumrah, he might look out for taking wickets in this game.

Arshdeep Singh vs Rohit Sharma

The contest between PBKS bowler Arshdeep Singh and MI’s veteran Rohit Sharma will be exiting for the fans to watch. While Rohit has looked dangerous this season with an aggressive strike rate of 170+ against pace, Arshdeep on the other hand has shown his ability to swing the new ball early, becoming Punjab Kings go to wicket-taker in the powerplay. Their battle with the new ball could set the tone for the entire innings, especially on the pace-friendly surface of Dharamshala.
