At Stumps on Day 2, India Lead England by 52 Runs

Jaiswal smashed a half-century off 49 balls, including two sixes.

London: Akash Deep wrapped his arm around Ben Duckett and gave him a send off with a smile on his face, inviting much controversy. Duckett then responded and K.L. Rahul had to then rush over to separate them.

Deep had Duckett caught behind 15 minutes before lunch, attempting another reverse hit off. The opening stand yielded 92 runs off just 77 balls.

There was another moment in the match when Joe Root had a face-off with Prasidh Krishna who ran up to him in the follow-through. The umpires were seen talking to Krishna and captain Shubman Gill after the run-in.

Meanwhile, Yashasvi Jaiswal's unbeaten 51 took India to 75/2 at stumps on the second day of the fifth Test against England, with a lead of 52 runs here on Friday.India lost opener KL Rahul (7) and Sai Sudharsan (11) but conveniently erased a 23-run first innings deficit, largely due to Jaiswal's positive approach with the bat.

Rahul was removed by Josh Tongue while Gus Atkinson accounted for Sudharsan.

Jaiswal was accompanied by night watchman Akash Deep (4 not out) when the stumps were drawn.

Earlier, England replied with 247 against India's 224 in the first essay, taking a slender lead.
