Australia clinched their seventh ICC Women's T20 World Cup title after defeating England by 10 wickets in a one-sided final at Lord's on Sunday, prompting ICC Chairman Jay Shah to declare that women's cricket is in its "golden era."

After electing to bowl, Australia bundled out England for 150 before chasing down the target in just 17.1 overs. Opener Beth Mooney anchored the chase with an unbeaten 64, while captain Sophie Molineux received the ICC Women's T20 World Cup trophy from Jay Shah during the post-match presentation.

Congratulating the champions, Shah praised Australia's dominant campaign while also commending England for an impressive tournament.

"Congratulations to Cricket Australia on winning their seventh ICC Women's T20 World Cup title with another incredible campaign. Huge credit to England too—fantastic runners-up but champions in spirit," Shah posted on social media.

He added that the tournament highlighted why women's cricket is "unmissable," citing the power, passion and quality displayed throughout the competition, and said the sport was currently enjoying a "golden era."
