A Friend in Need…or a Friend in Greed?
Investigation begins as family and suspect Arushi Goel await police questioning

The streets of Agra hummed with their usual chaos, but inside the local police chowky, tension crackled like static. ACP Sukanya Sharma leaned back in her chair, reading the complaint lodged by Bala Sharma, brother of the well-known cricketer Deepti Sharma.
Deepti, away in Bangalore for a training camp, had no idea that back home, her name had unwittingly become tangled in an unexpected controversy. A theft had taken place—items missing, suspicions raised. And among the names floating through the complaint, one stood out: Arushi Goel.
Bala had filed the complaint three days ago, but for him, the waiting felt endless. “I registered this complaint three days ago and am waiting for the investigation to begin. Will go to the police chowky as and when called,” he had told reporters.
ACP Sharma sighed, her fingers tapping against the wooden desk. “We have received a complaint from Deepti's brother and are investigating the matter. It is a primary complaint, and an FIR is lodged. We have asked Deepti's brother to come to the police station and will know more from him. We have not yet asked Arushi yet, but will call her too and investigate the matter further.”
Outside, the evening sky burned orange, but inside, the investigation was just beginning. Was this just a misunderstanding, or was there something deeper lurking beneath the surface? Deepti, unaware of the growing storm, prepared for another day at her camp.
Back in Agra, the truth was waiting to be unraveled.
