Mohammad Hafeez's selfie with 'The Wall' Rahul Dravid leaves Pakistani fans in awe

Rahul Dravid was travelling with his boys for the ICC U-19 World Cup before he bumped into Mohammad Hafeez on the flight in Auckland.

Auckland: Rahul Dravid is one of the most respected cricketers to have graced the gentleman’s game. His down to earth persona, humility and dignity has earned admiration for the former India skipper all around the globe. And six years after his retirement, Dravid still continues to lead a low-profile life.

Along with few mentoring stints in the Indian Premier League (IPL), the 44-year-old is preparing India for the future by grooming young players in the sport. Dravid, the current coach of the India U-19 cricket team was travelling with his boys for the ICC U-19 World Cup before he bumped into Mohammad Hafeez on the flight in Auckland.

Hafeez who was travelling with the Pakistan team for the limited-over series against New Zealand did not miss a chance to capture a moment with the batting legend. The all-rounder took to Twitter, praised ‘The Wall’ for his goodwill and helping him out in his game.

"Met with a man called THE WALL in cricket RAHUL bhai @Im_Dravid he is a great human being always there to talk about cricket & helping u out, honoured to play with him in the Feild & always pleasure to meet U, stay blessed," Hafeez tweeted.

Pakistan fans also joined Hafeez and praised the former India batsman.

Before Prithvi Shaw and co departed for the Oceania continent, Dravid also spoke how the coaching stint has shaped his as a person. “I have been learning a lot, learnt a lot over the past few years about coaching and myself. It's been a really good experience, I have enjoyed it. It has given me an opportunity in a lot of ways to spend a lot of time with a completely different generation of cricketers.

"Young players who have come with a completely different mindset, who have grown up thinking about cricket very differently to the way I thought or grew up.. the game has changed, from this age, they have to focus on all the three formats, we cannot ignore any format of the game. This in itself has its own challenges, even though this is a 50-over format and we are focusing on that. Sometimes, the conversation is about all the three formats of the game. So for me it has been quite a good learning experience and I have enjoyed it, “ he explained.
