Hyderabad: Right-arm mediumpacer Sahendra Mallu of Oxford Blues emerged on top on a day a clutch of performers did well in the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s two-day league matches played here.
Sahendra took five wicket hauls in both innings of the match. The youngster took 6 for 78 in the first innings and followed it up with a 5 for 80 in the second as Oxford Blues drew their Plate division game against WMCC.
K. Anandu was the next best. He turned in a sterling spell to take 7 wickets while conceding just 20 runs as Classic CC were bundled out for a mere 63 against Telangana CC.
Osmania’s K. Satyanarayana too reaped a rich haul. The left-arm spinner stamped his class to scalp 6 for 46 against Postal.
Atul Vyas of Deccan Wanderers also snared six wickets. However, the right-arm pacer’s 6 for 25 could not save his side from losing to Galaxy CC by two wickets.
Md Arif of Rohit XI was the lone batsman to shine. He scored 150 with the help of 14 boundaries and three sixes against Zinda Tilismath.
