Video| Watson bats on 186, yet to be dismissed
Sydney: Australia never lost a T20 encounter at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). Shane Watson, the stand-in skipper, loves the turf even more. He proved it further by slamming his maiden T20 ton against India here on Sunday.
But his hundred is not the talking point. Watson has remained unbeaten for 31.4 overs in total over the last two matches played at SCG.
Australia have played three T20 matches here and won all three.
They beat England (2007), New Zealand (2009) and West Indies (2010). Players have come and gone but Watson continued from where he left.
The right-hander, who smashed an unbeaten 124 off 71 balls to guide Australia to 197 for the loss of five wickets, remained not out on 62 off 33 balls against West Indies in 2010.
Australia chased down 139 in 11.4 overs with the Aussie reaching his half-century in 26 balls.
Hence, now Watson has 186 runs off 104 balls at the SCG in last two appearances.
However, the third T20 is still underway and is anybody’s game at the moment. Can India put an end to Australia’s winning streak?
