Umar Akmal congratulates Warner for PSL title
Mumbai: Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Shaharyar Khan recently raised a point about the absence of educated cricketers in Pakistan. On Sunday, Umar Akmal went a step ahead and justified the chief’s stance.
One may call it a ‘typo’ in today’s world but making a Pakistan Super League (PSL) out of Indian Premier League (IPL) is like making a Wasim Akram out of Sreenath Aravind.
The Pakistan cricketer – who was probably in a different world – took to Twitter to congratulate Sunrisers Hyderabad (the winning team) skipper David Warner for lifting the PSL title instead of IPL. On top of that, Warner never even played in the inaugural edition of PSL earlier this year.
After thrashing from followers and cricket lovers over the world, Akmal changed the tweet from PSL to IPL.
Congratulations to @davidwarner31 n team well deserving win #ipl2016final
