Bengaluru: Virat Kohli’s search for third win continues as Royal Challengers Bangalore failed to defend the total of 175 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders, losing the match by 6 wickets at M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday.

Chris Lynn proved to be the difference between both the sides as the Australian opener played the role of anchor by scoring 62 runs of 52 balls . Skipper Dinesh Karthik scored 23 runs of 10 balls to apply the finishing touches for their fourth victory.

For RCB Virat Kohli led the way with the bat as he smashed an unbeaten 68 off 44 balls to help RCB post 175 after being put into bat. Not only was Kohli brilliant with the bat, he was a live-wire on the field, taking a stunning catch in the final moment of the match, which not only received cheer from the crowd at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium but also wife Anushka Sharma, who was in the stands cheering RCB.

In the 19^th over of the KKR innings, Kohli took a brilliant running catch at long-on to dismiss his opposite skipper Dinesh Karthik. With 5 runs needed of 8 balls, Karthik mistimed a shot straight down the ground, Kohli sprinted from long on and pulled off a superman like effort to bring crowd to their feat.
