It's a woman's choice what to wear, says Azharuddin's first wife Naureen

Mumbai: Unlike the wife (Hasin Jahan) of Indian pacer Mohammad Shami, former India skipper Mohammad Azharuddin's first wife Naureen never ever faced any controversy for her attire.

"Nobody used to wear burqa in our family during my time with Azhar's family and there was no compulsion on me as well. I always put on modest clothes," she said. "The intentions should be clear. No private parts of the body (should) be seen."

She, however, also added, "By wearing burqa some women feel more confident, liberated and closer to God.

"At the end of the day it is about a woman's choice as to what she wants to wear".
