Watch: Nazmul Islam performs Nagin dance after dismissing Shikhar Dhawan

While Bangladesh were bundled out for 222 runs despite Liton Das' ton, early wickets by their bowlers in India's run-chase gave them hope.

Dubai: The Asia Cup 2018 final between India and Bangladesh here on Friday witnessed a dramatic finish, with an injured Kedar Jadhav starring in the Men in Blue’s last-ball win.

While Bangladesh were bundled out for 222 runs despite Liton Das’ century, early wickets by their bowlers in India’s run-chase gave them some hope.

The first Indian wicket to fall was Shikhar Dhawan for 15 runs, and Bangladesh’s Nazmul Islam celebrated it in their popular Nagin dance style.

However, this is not the first time that they were entertaining cricket fans with this type of dance. Earlier during the Nidahas Trophy tournament, Bangladeshis did the same to celebrate their win against Sri Lanka.

Captain Rohit Sharma (48 runs) was the top-scorer for India, while MS Dhoni and Dinesh Karthik scored 36 and 37 runs respectively. However, it was Kedar Jadhav who came back to bat later in the innings to finish the match. He was earlier retired hurt during his batting due to a hamstring injury, but came back to score 23 runs off 27 balls to seal the tournament.

This was India’s seventh Asia Cup triumph.
