Violating Team India’s privacy grants 3 hotel guests official warning

India, who face England on Sunday are just one win away from securing a semi-final berth.

Mumbai: Days away from their challenge against England, Virat Kohli and team India players faced a ‘violation of privacy’ against three guests residing at the same hotel. The guests, also Indians, were reportedly accused of taking pictures of the players and their family members without permission.

Indian players are in Birmingham for their clash against fourth place hosts England on Sunday June 30. The team is staying at the Hyatt Regency at Bridge Street, Birmingham, their usual halt for matches in the city.

The hotel staff warned the guests to refrain from their inappropriate behaviour around the Indian players. According to sources, another incident with the guests would lead them to be asked to check-out immediately without a second warning.

India, who face England on Sunday are just one win away from securing a semi-final berth. They are the only unbeaten team in the tournament so far and the only team with 3 matches to go.

England on the other hand are in problematic territory after losing to Pakistan and later losing consecutively to Sri Lanka and Australia, leaving them at eight points off seven games.

The team is just one point ahead of Bangladesh and Pakistan who are eager to see England lose in their India clash, thus increasing their chances to make it to fourth place.
