While fans all over the country are proudly celebrating Virat Kohli’s heroic efforts against Australia on Sunday, some Twitter users compared his performance with his past relationship with Anushka Sharma — they trolled the Bollywood actress by thanking her for ending her relationship with Virat! The Indian Test team captain, obviously annoyed with the cyber bullies, had just one world for them — shame!
He slammed them on his Instagram account by posting this message — “Shame on those people who have been having a go at Anushka for the longest time and connecting every negative thing to her. Shame on those people calling themselves educated. Shame on blaming and making fun of her when she has no control over what I do with my sport. If anything she has only motivated and given me more positivity.

This is not the first time that Anushka has been trolled in this way — the Twitterati targeted her when Virat had misfired in last year’s 50-over World Cup semi-finals against Australia. He showed his support for the actress quite avidly then too. The cricketer has also been quite vocal in his concern against harassment towards women, as with this message he posted on Women’s day — “Sorry for the jerks, the cat-callers, the stalkers. Don’t let them ruin it for the rest of us. Happy Women’s Day (sic).” Virat is definitely our hero, on and off the field!
