IPL 2018: Lungi Ngidi excited about Lungi Dance at MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings

Ngidi became a hit with the Indian fans, who had a bit of joy with his name Lungi'.

Johannesburg: Lungi Ngidi is all set to do ‘Whistle Podu’ along with ‘ Lungi Dance’ as the South Africa pacer is all set to join Chennai Super Kings in the upcoming edition of Indian Premier League (IPL). The young pace sensation bagged IPL contract with the Chennai outfit for a bargain price of 50 lakhs.

Ngidi became a hit with the Indian fans, who had a bit of joy with his name ‘Lungi’. The word was made popular by a song named ‘Lungi Dance’ performed by Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and actress Deepika Padukone for movie ‘Chennai Express’ which became a hit number among fans.

South Africa pacer recently took to social media Twitter to express his love for the song. He tweeted “Just listened to the #LungiDance song loving it already”

The official social media handle of the Super Kings also welcomed Ngidi to their team.

Ngidi proved to be a nightmare for Team India in the recently concluded Test series in South Africa which the Proteas won 2-1.

The pacer had an unforgettable Test debut on his home ground, where he picked up six Indian wickets in the second-innings to earn the Man-of-the-Match award in Centurion.

The young bowler was not a part of the South African squad for the 3-match Test series but was named into the side after the conclusion of the first Test at Cape Town where Dale Steyn got injured.

Ngidi was then handed his maiden Test cap during the second Test at his home ground in Centurion. Things turned around for the young pacer in the second innings as he bagged six wickets in the second innings which also included important scalp of Team India captain Virat Kohli. His effort with the ball also helped South African register big win and also wrap up the series.
