KL Rahul to make Team India comeback in 2nd Test vs Sri Lanka

The India opener was suffering from an illness that ruled him out of the ongoing first Test.

Galle: India opener KL Rahul is all set to rejoin Team India after recovering from an illness that ruled him out of the ongoing first Test between Sri Lanka and India at the Galle International Stadium, on Friday.

Rahul has had a difficult few months, as he has been out of action since the Indian Premier League (IPL). The right handed opener missed the tenth season of IPL due to shoulder injury. The first Test in Galle would have been his first outing after recovering, but fever played spoilsport, making way for Abhinav Mukund.

Rahul’s recevory from fever means that he is set to make a comeback for Team India in second Test with Mukund set to face the axe.BCCI confirmed Rahul’s return to action, on Twitter.

India are currently in Sri Lanka on a lengthy tour, which includes 3 Tests, 5 ODIs and a T20I.
