IPL 9: Blow for Pune, broken finger rules Faf du Plessis out
Mumbai: This season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) doesn’t look good for MS Dhoni and new entrant Rising Pune Supergiants. After the departure of England batsman Kevin Pietersen midway, now Dhoni will have to incur the loss of yet another key player from his side.
The Supergiants will be missing the services of South Africa Faf du Plessis for the remainder of the tournament.
The 31-year-old du Plessis made the announcement on his official Twitter account on Thursday.
Watch: Faf du Plessis’ hundred was best of the three, says AB de Villiers
“And so my IPL tournament unfortunately comes to an end. Broken finger and out for 6 weeks. Thanks India and @RPSupergiants it’s been fun,” du Plessis wrote.
