Flintoff will never mess with Amitabh Bachchan again
New Delhi: Virat Kohli’s unbeaten 51-ball 82 runs single-handedly boosted hosts India to a resounding victory over Australia in the ICC World T20 on Sunday. With the win, MS Dhoni and Co. occupied the second spot for the semis from Group 2.
No matter how intense the action was on field, there was equal amount of tension off it as well. During the virtual quarterfinal at the PCA stadium in Mohali, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and former England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff were engaged in a heated war of words on Twitter.

Kohli’s knock recovered India from 49-3 to eventually emerge victorious with five balls to spare. Flintoff, who played for 79 Tests and 141 ODIs for England, congratulated Kohli.
Class from @imVkohli ðŸ‘ðŸ¼

But then Flintoff drew comparison with English batsman Joe Root, which drew many eye-balls. Senior Bachchan, in particular was unpleased with the tweet and gave a fitting reply.
At this rate @imVkohli will be as good as @root66 one day ! Not sure who @englandcricket will meet in the final now !

@flintoff11 @imVkohli @root66 @englandcricket Root who ? जड़ से उखाड़ देंà¤-े Root ko ..!!!

Flintoff then decided to reply in the funniest manner, one that might not go down well with Bachchan’s 20-odd million followers.
Sorry who's this ? 😜 https://t.co/sjhs7HGT1d

However, Freddie was taken aback by all the comments he received.

With the kind of responses he received, specially from Indian fans, we surely think he will not repeat this kind of a ‘tongue-in-cheek’ comment again.
Getting a taste of what it is like to be @piersmorgan ,some abuse flying about ,some people just don't understand the term "tongue in cheek"
