Dhoni, who retired from Tests in 2014, has been heavily criticised by former cricketers due to poor performances in Virat Kohli’s limited overs side.
While the likes of Ajit Agarkar, VVS Laxman and Aakash Chopra have gone against the Ranchi cricketer, captain Virat Kohli and coach Ravi Shastri have supported the veteran cricketer.
The former India skipper is expected to come back to Virat Kohli’s side for the upcoming limited-overs series against Sri Lanka, the team for which will be announced on Monday.
