Mumbai: Indian skipper Virat Kohli has achieved the feat of scoring 20000 international runs. Kohli, who recently became the fastest player to reach 11,000 ODI runs crossed the landmark of 20,000 runs against West Indies on Thursday.

Kohli has become the 12th batsman to score 20,000 international runs. He has also become the third Indian after Sachin Tendulkar(34,357 runs) and Rahul Dravid (24,208 runs) to reach this milestone.

Kohli is now the fastest batsman to reach the landmark overtaking Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara. Both Tendulkar and Lara had taken 453 innings to complete 20,000 international runs. However, Kohli has played only 416 innings so far-- 131 in Tests, 223 in ODIs and 62 in T20Is.

The 30-year-old has been in sublime form in the current World Cup and has scored three half-centuries in the mega-event against Australia, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Kohli, who has scored 66 tons in his illustrious international career is yet to score a ton in the ongoing World Cup 2019.

Although the rain forced players inside for a net practice session on Tuesday, the conditions look favourable ahead of the match on Thursday.
