IPL 2018: KXIP's Ankit Rajpoot slammed for abusive send-off to Shikhar Dhawan; video
Hyderabad: Before the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) were sitting comfortably at the second spot in the points table with 10 points from their 6 games.
Last night in the low-scoring match between two teams as SRH bowlers, defending 132 runs, showed their nerves of steel to win the contest by 13 runs.
The loss changed the scenario of the points table as SRH overtook Punjab to take second spot with better net run rate.
For KXIP, it was pacer Ankit Rajpoot starred with the ball, registering his best bowling figures of 5-14 from 4 overs.
Opening the bowling for KXIP, Rajpoot troubled the Sunrisers batsmen with his pace and steep bounce. He dismissed the likes of Kane Williamson, Shikhar Dhawan and Wriddhiman Saha in his first three overs to put KXIP in control.
Inspite of brilliant bowling spell, his effort was overshadowed by the kind of send-off he gave to SRH opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan.
After dismissing Kane Williamson in the first over of the match, Rajpoot struck in his very next over when he had Dhawan caught in the slips. As Dhawan started to walk back towards the SRH dug out, Rajpoot gave the Indian cricket team opener an abusive send-off.
After such a brilliant performance, he cut a sorry figure as his efforts were overshadowed by one small moment of madness.
Young Ankit Rajpoot abuses Shikhar Dhawan after taking his wicket. Well, these things are not acceptable in gentleman's game. #SRHvKXIP #SRHvsKXIP pic.twitter.com/mPZ2R7fX22

Dear Ankit Rajpoot , I know you are happy that you took the wicket of Shikhar Dhawan but you are too young to abuse a senior player. These little things can hamper your way to success.
