Virat Kohli’s warm welcome!

Young cricketer KS Bharat can\'t stop gushing over Captain Kohli\'s gesture following India\'s victory against Bangladesh on Sunday.

Vizag born K.S. Bharat, a new member of the Indian cricket team was over the moon when Team India skipper Virat Kohli invited him to hold the trophy after the team won the Pink Ball day-night Test against Bangladesh at the Eden Gardens on Sunday.

A thrilled 26-year-old Srikar Bharat, who replaced wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant, says, “Virat bhaiya walked up to me and just put the trophy in my hands. I didn’t know how to react or what to say.”

Apparently, it was the skipper’s way of welcoming him in the team.

“Rohit bhaiya also told me to enjoy the moment. I was nervous but very happy with the way they treated me,” reveals Srikar, adding, “I can never forget this moment in my life. Sharing the dressing room and also learning this… It will motivate me a lot as a young player and I am sure many more youngsters will be motivated.”

Interestingly, it was M.S. Dhoni, who started the practice of inviting young team members to hold the trophy aloft during his tenure as captain.
