Col CK Nayudu Trophy: Hyderabad in driver's seat

Resuming the third day, Hyderabad could add just two runs to their overnight tally of 662 for 9, before their last wicket fell in the 182nd over.

Hyderabad: After piling a mammoth 664 in the first innings, Hyderabad bowlers came up with a top show on the field and sent Saurashtra’s half the side back to pavilion in their Col C. K. Nayudu Trophy U-23 Plate division semifinal match at the Gymkhana ground on Saturday.

Resuming the third day, Hyderabad could add just two runs to their overnight tally of 662 for 9, before their last wicket fell in the 182nd over.

Later, Saurashtra’s batters did make a good start but failed to take their scores in the triple figures. Samarth Vyas was dismissed for 88 while Vishvarajsinh Jadeja and Niket Joshi fell for 47 and 54 respectively as Kartikeya Kak picked 2 for 45 while Shravan Kumar, Pabba Nilesh and Tanay Thyagarajan picked a wicket each for Hyderabad. Saurashtra were reeling at 271/5 when the stumps were drawn.
