Umesh Yadav biggest scam in Indian cricket: Fans slam BCCI over Shami's ODI snub

The third ODI will be played in Pune's Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium on Saturday.

Mumbai: Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar made a comeback to the Indian team as the squad for the final three West Indies ODIs were announced on Thursday.

While Mohammed Shami was dropped from the squad in favour of Umesh Yadav, the fans were not pleased with this decision. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the team through their Twitter account, and here’s how some of the angry fans responded:

Shami has taken three wickets in two matches whereas Umesh has gone for expensive spells in both games, picking up just one wicket.

While the Men in Blue registered a comfortable victory against the Windies in the first ODI, Virat Kohli’s unbeaten 157 in India’s innings of 321 was not enough in the second match as Shai Hope’s century inspired a comeback by the visitors as the match ended in a thrilling tie.

The third ODI will be played in Pune’s Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium on Saturday.
