Mumbai: Both Dushmantha Chameera and Wanindu Hasaranga had their first ball wickets in the first T-20I match against India on Sunday.
However, Chameera has repeated this feat on several other occasions also.
His wife, Sulochana Dilrukhshi was happy because her husband got the first Indian batsman (Prithvi Shaw) out first ball of the match.
Speaking exclusively over telephone from Sri Lanka, she said, "I am very impressed with Chameera's first ball wicket in the match. No Indian batsman has ever been out first ball in the T-20I match".
"And it was debutant Prithvi Shaw's wicket. Shaw really batted well in the ODIs' and in the IPL and therefore his wicket was very important for our team", she said.
Other Indian batsmen with a golden duck in their first T-20I are : Munaf Patel (2011), Piyush Chawla (2012) and KL Rahul (2016).
