Hyderabad: Jaidev Goud delivered a power-packed punch by hitting a double century while his teammate J. Mehar Prasad scored a composed ton to garner attention on Day One in their Hyderabad Cricket Association’s Two-Day league match being played in city.
In the match against Visaka CC, Vijay Hanuman, batting first, got off to a solid start from Jaidev and Mehar.
In his 254-ball stint, Jaidev scored 204 with the use of 25 boundaries and five sixes while Mehar made a steady 134 off 233 with 12 fours and two maximums. Vijay side were 411 for 6 in 90 overs at the stumps.
In other match, Visaka were in control as they finished the day at 51 for 2 after bowling out Sai Sathya for 148 in 47.5 overs.
Using the crease first, Sai Sathya batters couldn’t do much as T. Akshay, C. Yesunadh and Harsh S. Shankhpal dished out disciplined spells to keep check on their opponent’s scoring graph. T. Akshay (3/37), Yesunadh (3/26), and Harsh (3/11) shared nine wickets equally.
