Mumbai: India is celebrating its 68th Republic Day on Thursday. The day marks the anniversary of the day the country's Constitution was adopted in 1950.
The event was celebrated in the customary way with India’s military and cultural diversity at full display at the Rajpath in New Delhi. UAE Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan was the chief guest at the event.
Indian cricketers including Sachin Tendulkar, Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Team India coach Anil Kumble took to Twitter to celebrate and wish fans on the 68th Republic Day.
Indian legend Virender Sehwag requested his fans to not throw away Indian flags after Republic Day celebrations.
