IPL 2018: Shakib Al Hasan joins Bravo, Afridi, Malinga, Narine with 300 T20 wickets
Mumbai: Sunrisers Hyderabad came back from the dead to stun Mumbai Indians by 31 runs in the Indian Premier League match at Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday. Rashid Khan was adjudged man-of-the-match for his figures of 2-11 in 4 overs.
The match also witnessed Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib al Hasan, making history by becoming the first Bangladesh player and fourth overall in T20 history to claim 300 wickets.
The others players to reach the 300 wickets landmark are Dwayne Bravo (414), Lasith Malinga (348), Sunil Narine (324) and Shahid Afridi (300). Shakib’s 300th victim was Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma.
Shakib had earlier played for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in IPL before being SRH in the 2018 players auctions. The left arm spinner who made his debut in 2011 played six seasons, in which he picked up 43 wickets at an average of 24.56.
Apart from playing for KKR and SRH, Shakib has featured for teams like Adelaide Strikers, Barbados Tridents, Dhaka Gladiators, Jamaica Tallawahs, Karachi Kings, Khulna Division, Peshawar Zalmi and Worcestershire.
