IPL 2019: Updated points table after RCB-KKR clash

RCB, who failed to defend their total of 205, remained winless this season after their fifth consecutive loss.

Mumbai: Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) Indian Premier League (IPL) season turned from bad to worse after a heart-breaking five-wicket loss to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Bengaluru on Friday.

Virat Kohli (84) and AB de Villiers' (64) efforts were overshadowed by Chris Lynn (43) and a lightning-fast innings by Andre Russell (48 runs off 13 balls) as the hosts failed to defend their total of 205-3.

RCB remained winless this season after their fifth consecutive loss, whereas KKR took second place in the points table.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) host Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in Saturday's first game, whereas Mumbai Indians (MI) face Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the second game as the weekend games commence.
