HCA SGM to amend laws on February 26

Subsequently, the ruling group filed a revision petition in the High Court which has stayed the announcement of results pending disposal of the case.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Cricket Association on Tuesday said the recommendations of Justice Lodha Committee, already adopted by it, would be confirmed at the next Special General Meeting of the Association scheduled for February 26.

“Necessary amendments to the Memorandum, Rules and Regulations would be carried out to bring it in terms with the Judgement of the Hon’ble Supreme Court passed in Civil Appeal 4235 of 2014 (Board of Control for Cricket in India vs Cricket Association of Bihar & others) dated 18th July 2016.

“The same will be confirmed in the next Special General Meeting of the HCA to be convened on Sunday, the 26th February 2017,” HCA president M. Narender Goud said in a press release.

The HCA had adopted the Lodha reforms at their Special General Meeting held on November 20 last year but much furore followed that meet with the rival group moving court and securing an order to hold elections, on January 17.
