Ravindra Jadeja trolls reporter, asks about salary
Chennai: Ravindra Jadeja is on a roll these days. After scalping seven wickets in the second innings of the fifth Test against England to power India to an innings and 75 runs, he, with 26 wickets in the series, became the second highest wickettaker after R Ashwin in the five-match Test series.
The Indian all-rounder added one more feather to his cap after he was picked in the ICC ODI Team of the Year 2016 which also included Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
Jadeja, who shares a special equation with Chennai having played for the Chennai Super Kings, was in the city for a brand promotion and was at his wittiest best during the press conference.
Jadeja, who is one of the key players for India across all the formats, was asked about his earning following the recent contract with a sportswear company and his reply left everyone in splits.
“What is your salary, can you tell me?”, Jadeja asked the media personnel, reported India.com.
The Saurashtra lad also spoke candidly about how he had to wear other people’s shoes before he made it big. “Before I played international cricket, I would wear other people’s shoes. Kaheen se bhi jugaad ho jaye (I had to find a solution and adjust in any way possible),” added Jadeja.
