R Ashwin makes fun of Karun Nair, KL Rahul
Chennai: R Ashwin is turning it big on the pitch and continues to a big hit off it as well; especially on social media. The Indian off-spinner, who keeps himself updated with whatever is happening in the world, does not miss a chance to pull anyone’s leg and shut the trolls in an epic style on Twitter.
The ICC Cricketer of the Year 2016 and ICC Test Cricketer of the Year 2016, Ashwin, has taken on his Indian teammates Karun Nair and KL Rahul following duo’s below-par performance in the first innings of the ongoing Ranji Trophy quarterfinal clash between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
Although Ashwin, who grabbed 28 wickets in the recently concluded five-match Test series against England, is not playing the game, the young Indian batsmen are part of the Karnataka unit.
While Rahul scored 199 and Karun scored a maiden triple hundred in their last international outing, the two could only score 4 and 14 runs respectively. While the three share dressing room when they play for India, the rivalry between their state teams is such that Ashwin could not resist taking a dig at the Karnataka duo.
While the world number one all-rounder and bowler in Tests is getting slammed by some of the MS Dhoni fans after he failed to name Dhoni in his thank-you speech after it was announced that he had two prestigious ICC awards, that clearly has not stopped Ashwin from poking fun at his Indian teammates.
