Hyderabad: Vivek Singh, V. L. Sashank, J. Seshi Kumar Yadav, D. Srinivas Yadav, Paras Raj, M. Suresh, Md Shakeer Ahmed and Praful were the top performers in the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s A-1 & A-2 Division One-Day League-cum-Knockout tournament matches played on Friday.
Vivek scored 134 in 131 balls for MCC while teammate D. Srinivas Yadav got 6 wickets while conceeding 39 runs in their win against Classic, for which J. Seshi Kumar Yadav took 6 for 69. Chasing MCC’s 286, Classic were bowled out for 113 in 22 overs.
The match between Baalaji and Khammam District threw up two performers, from the former side. Paras Raj slammed an unbeaten 124 in 118 balls to help Baalaji to 224 in 40 overs before left-arm spinner V. L. Sashank took 7 wickets while conceeding just 9 runs in a dream spell that read 5-0-9-7 as Khammam were bowled out for 64.
Praful got 100 to boost WMCC to 204 for 2 in 40 overs but his side lost to Rakesh XI who replied with 207/5 in 39.1 overs as B. Nishant (58) and A. Dheeraj Vishal (81) played handy knocks.
M. Suresh too scored 100 in 102 balls to help South Central Railway to 303 for 6 before Charminar were bundled out for 176.
In another match, Md Shakeer’s unbeaten 100 in 51 balls helped Postal to a nine-wicket victory over Crown, who were all out for 172.
