Allround show by Quraishi in Hyderabad Cricket Association's two-day league

Abdul Ela Al Quraishi came up with an allround show to hog the spotlight in the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s two-day league action here. Quraishi took a match haul of 11 wickets and scored a half-century as Sri Chakra defeated Visaka by eight wickets in an Elite division game.

Batting first, Chakra made 201 for 9 declared with Quraishi being the top scorer with 64 even as offie Anoop Reddy snared 5 for 48. Then, Quraishi bowled his off-spinners to good effect to take an astonishing 5 for 24 as Visaka was bundled out for a mere 87. Following on, they again found Quarishi too much to handle as the spinner returned with 6 for 52 in the second innings.

Sri Chakra knocked off the runs needed to win by losing just two wickets. Nikhil Vinod of Hyderabad Public School (Begumpet) was the other performer. The off-spinner took 5 for 74 in their drawn match in the Plate division against Manchester club.
