Khushal, Danny, Ankur, Teja top shows in Hyderabad's cricket league

Mickil, Chandra, Vishwanath, Ankur, Praneeth, Ravi, Manish, Soma Shekhar, Alankrit, Aditya, Rishabh too are impressive.

Hyderabad: Khushal Parvez Jilla almost got a double ton, Danny Derek Prince and Ankur Dipnarayan hit big centuries while Madala Teja turned in a sterling spell to take top honours in the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s Premier Division league matches here.

Mickil Jaiswal, R. A. Vishwanath, B. Chandrashekar, G. Praneeth Kumar and T. Ravi Teja were the others to come up with notable performances in the top division’s three-day matches.

Khushal hit 197 in R. Dayanand’s drawn match against Cambridge XI, for whom B. Chandrashekar scored a 106-ball 102 that included eight boundaries and two sixes. This was Chandrashekar’s second successive century in the league.

Left-arm spinner Madala Teja of Jai Hanuman was unplayable. He took 6 wickets while conceding just 18 runs as Deccan Chronicle were all out for 102 in their second innings. However, Jai Hanuman were out for 172 in their second innings to hand Chronicle a 27-run win.

In another match, Danny Derek Prince slammed 151 as State Bank of Hyderabad declared their innings at 350 for 5 in their drawn match with Gujrati. Ankur Dipnarayan had the next best score. His 142 which was embellished with 14 boundaries and four sixes helped Sporting to 356 against Andhra Bank.

There were two performers from MP Colts. First, off-spinner Mickil Jaiswal took 5 wickets for 51 runs which included a hat-trick and then Ravi Teja stroked 107 in 163 balls, against Charminar in their drawn match.

Vishwanath was the other centurion. The South Central Railway player hit 125 against AOC on the second day of their three-day match. Khaled Qureshi (99) of Mega City and B. Anirudh (96) of EMCC were unfortunate to get out in the nineties while Himalay Agarwal was stranded on an unbeaten 93 as Ensconse were bowled out for 216 against Income Tax, for whom Praneeth scalped 5 for 72. In the second tier two-day league, CCOB mediumpacer Manish Kumar Rai took 6 for 42 as Gujrati were bowled out for a pathetic 54.

The match between Jai Bhagwathi and HBCC was a bowlers’ battle. Aditya Choudary took 5 for 45 to pack Jai Bhagwathi for 133. Bhagwathi hit back through Rishabh Baslas, who scalped 6 for 52 to bowl HBCC out for 160.
Elsewhere, off-spinner Alankrit Agarwal of Crown CC took 5 for 35 against Rohit XI while mediumpacer Madhava Soma Shekhar of Sri Chakra took 5 for 67 against Rakesh XI.
