Mumbai: Be it acting or cheering for his favourite teams and players or dancing at his friend’s wedding, there’s a sense of excitement and passion with whatever Ranveer Singh does. The Bollywood superstar, who is reportedly dating Deepika Padukone, was in the stands as MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK) took on Kane Williamson-led Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Qualifier 1 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018.
There was no shortage of drama and action as both the teams were in the game till the final over the match. However, it was CSK, who clinched the thriller, courtesy Faf du Plessis’ unbeaten 67 off 42 balls and Shardul Thakur’s not out 15 off 6 balls.
Ranveer had earlier heaped on Royal Challengers Bangalore and Indian cricket team skipper, Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers.

The Bollywood superstar took to social media as he shared a special message for CSK and Thala Dhoni.
“I came here to see my hero, my jaan MS – the lion in action. He captained absolutely impeccably as always and got them (SRH) out for a really low score. But CSK in spot of bother but still in fight. Hoping for the best. Whistle Podu. Come on,” said Ranveer in a video message recorded from “the magnificent Wankhede”.
